My Brother-In-Law found this desk in an old warehouse. I couldn't believe it. It was solid but needed some TLC.

I used Annie Sloan Old White paint along with a clear Annie Sloan Clear Wax. I love Annie Sloan products. They are simple to use because you don't have to sand the piece of furniture. It gives a high quality finish. Also, I have three kids, a dog and a cat and, despite their best attention, there is not a mark on it. The products don't smell strong when you use them. This is a real bonus. I had an experience where I used Bri Wax indoors and the smell was really awful. I have used Annie Sloan products indoors too and there was no issue. The colours are aesthetically pleasing and one tin of paint goes really far. The paints can be mixed together too, which gives more options.
All in all, I was pleased with the way this worked out. There is a little extendable work surface that is really cute. It's a good size and is made of solid wood. The old keyholes add some character too.
My love of picking up old furniture was highlighted yesterday. I visited the home of an old gentleman nearby and I just dreamed of what I would do to restore his furniture. He didn't even know what treasures he had, except for his piano which he loves dearly.
